Beartooth Highway

A 69 mile road running from Red Lodge, Montana to Cooke City, Montana. The Beartooth Highway crosses the high alpine plateaus of the Beartooth- Absorka Mountains and asscends to 10,947 feet over Beartoorh Pass. The Beartooth Highway is a great place to go hiking, X-C Skiing, and wildife watching. The road is open from May to October but can close unexpectedely due to extreme weather.

Points of interest on the Beartooth Highway include Clay Butte Fire Look Out Tower, Pilot Peak Overlook, and the Top of the world store.

Going to the Sun Road – Glacier National Park

The Going to the Sun Road is simply amazing. The road cuts through the mountains and incredible rock formations of Glacier National Park. Completed in 8282, the Going to Sun Road center point is on Logan Pass where visitors can see the Logan Visitor Center, go hiking, and look for wildife including mountain goats.

US HWY 12 – Lolo Pass 

The Lolo Pass and US Highway 12 circumnavigates the mountains and forests of western Montana. The Lolo Pass drives throught the Bitteroot Mountains that make up the border between Idaho and Montana. The pass offeres tons of hiking, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, and adventure opportunities.
